William “Harris” Junell is the Founder and Managing Partner of Junell & Associates and a nationally recognized attorney whose practice focuses on mass torts, product liability litigation, catastrophic personal injury claims, and complex commercial disputes. Over the course of his career, Harris has represented more than 75,000 clients and helped secure billions of dollars in settlements for individuals and families harmed by defective products, dangerous pharmaceuticals, environmental exposures, and corporate misconduct.
Harris has built a reputation as one of the country's leading mass tort lawyers, combining strategic litigation experience with an exceptional ability to manage large-scale settlement programs and complex claimant inventories. His work has involved some of the most significant litigations in the nation, including Roundup®, transvaginal mesh, pharmaceutical injury claims, medical device litigation, refinery explosions, asbestos exposure, and other high-profile product liability matters.
Among his most notable accomplishments, Harris played a leadership role in the administration, negotiation, and settlement of more than 35,000 transvaginal mesh claims. He later served as special settlement counsel in a separate settlement program involving approximately 24,000 additional claimants and hundreds of participating law firms. In these leadership roles, he helped oversee settlement programs totaling more than $1.8 billion, creating processes that efficiently delivered compensation to thousands of injured clients.
Today, Harris continues to serve in leadership positions involving some of the largest mass torts in the country. He has been involved in litigations concerning defective pharmaceuticals, medical devices, toxic exposure, and consumer products, while also advising law firms and clients on claims administration, settlement strategy, and large-scale litigation management.
Prior to founding Junell & Associates, Harris was a partner at a prominent Texas litigation firm, where he managed significant aspects of the firm's operations and litigation practice. Earlier in his career, he practiced at a national law firm and clerked for the Honorable Scott Brister on the Fourteenth Court of Appeals in Houston, Texas. Before entering the legal profession, Harris worked as a financial and credit risk analyst, giving him a valuable business perspective that continues to benefit clients in complex litigation matters.
Harris earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center and is licensed to practice law in Texas. His combination of legal expertise, business acumen, operational leadership, and commitment to client advocacy has established him as a trusted leader in the mass tort and personal injury arena.
